Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guards in Canada.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Title: Security Professional

Location: Ottawa, ON

Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.50

Shift: Full Availability Required.

**Must have resided in Canada for a minimum of 5 years continuously**

Overview:

Allied Universal is currently looking for Security Professionals at one of our sites in Ottawa. The property is close to Parliament Hill and includes a multi-level retail concourse, offices, an outdoor amphitheater, and an underground parking garage.

Responsibilities:

• To provide tenants and visitors with value-added service through the visibility of security personnel, emergency response capability, positive issue resolution, crime prevention, and awareness programs.
• To maintain the safety and integrity of the property and to provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all occupants and visitors.
• Involved with physical security responses to a varied array of “calls for service" as well as providing first responder services for security and life safety emergencies and incidents.
• These incidents include but are not limited to medical emergencies, fire and safety emergencies, criminal acts, prohibited activity, and building leaks.
• Conducts patrols of the interior and exterior of the property looking for hazards, building deficiencies, insecure premises, criminal or prohibited activity, suspicious persons, items, and vehicles.
• Enforcement of applicable criminal code and legislative statutes.

Requirements and/or Qualifications:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard license
• Standard First Aid CPR Level C
• 1 year of experience in a similar setting required
• Ability to complete Use of Force training curriculum
• Crisis Management De-Escalation
• On-site and online training related to similar environments
• Security personnel shall be fully fluent in English to the extent of conversing, reading, and understanding written regulations, orders, directives, instructions, and the ability to compose reports that are complete, concise, and clear.
• Strong computer skills are essential.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Maintain a professional and neat appearance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all personnel and the public.

Physical Requirements:

• Security personnel shall be able to handle exertion such as:

standing or walking for an entire shift, climbing stairs, lifting, and carrying objects up to 30 pounds.

• Work in various conditions, including outdoor environments with extreme weather such as cold, snow, rain, or heat.
• Running may be required.
