Job Title: Quality Supervisor

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Work Location: On-site (Kitchener - Waterloo, Ontario)

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Position Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Quality Supervisor to lead our quality assurance initiatives in a dynamic manufacturing environment. In this critical role, you will oversee the implementation and maintenance of our Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001:2015 and CSA N299.3 standards. You'll be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring our products consistently meet internal and external requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and manage the QMS to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and CSA N299.3 standards.

Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits, including leading corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Oversee inspection, testing, and process control activities to ensure compliance with specifications.

Support the creation and management of quality documentation such as Control Plans, FMEA, PPAP, and GR&R.

Maintain accurate records, including documentation of non-conforming products and quality reports.

Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality concerns.

Lead training initiatives to promote quality awareness and QMS compliance across departments.

Analyze quality performance data and provide reports and recommendations to senior management.

Manage supplier quality through qualification processes, audits, and performance reviews.

Drive process improvements and monitor production equipment for compliance and safety.

Ensure measuring tools are calibrated and functioning properly; arrange repairs as needed.

Perform product measurements using gauges like calipers and micrometers.

Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods.

Develop and improve test methods and inspection plans.

Investigate causes of defects and rework, and implement preventive measures.

What You Bring:

Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing setting.

Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 (required) and CSA N299.3 (preferred).

Trained in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related discipline-or equivalent experience.

Certification as an internal auditor for ISO 9001 and/or CSA N299 (preferred).

Proficient in root cause analysis techniques such as 8D, Fishbone Diagrams, and 5 Whys.

Effective communicator and leader, capable of mentoring team members and fostering a quality-driven culture.

Comfortable in both administrative and shop-floor environments.
