The role:
As the IT Manager for the Project, you will lead the Project's IT department with a focus on responsiveness, compliance, and strategic alignment. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration of technology to support the project's objectives. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience tackling various hardware and software problems. They should be comfortable providing technology solutions to employees and working closely with third party software companies to adopt new technologies and efficiently use existing ones. This candidate should have prior experience working with information technology and understand the latest technology trends to ensure the technology in place is up to date.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee the Project's IT department, ensuring a responsive and efficient service delivery.
• Provide guidance to the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Ensure strict adherence to the Project's safety policies and procedures within the IT department.
• Stay informed and ensure compliance with all local, national, and corporate regulations applicable to the Project.
• Proactively evaluate and enhance the security and resiliency of the Project's IT assets.
• Implement robust disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Function as the primary contact point for the Corporate Cybersecurity department.
• Strategically plan, execute, monitor and close IT infrastructure and application projects to support the Project's objectives.
• Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure alignment with Project governance.
• Regularly review and enhance IT processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work closely with the Procurement department to assess and select prospective vendors based on project requirements and industry standards.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure vendor performance aligns with project expectations.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders from the Client, Project, and Corporate Governance to ensure alignment on the IT roadmap.
• Foster strong relationships to understand and address the evolving IT needs of the Project.
• Manage the IT budget effectively, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
• Provide regular fiscal reports to project leadership, highlighting budgetary status and recommending adjustments as needed. And fiscal reporting requirements.
• Other duties as assigned/required.
What we are looking for:
• Bachelor's degree in IT (or related field) or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of experience as an IT manager, preferably in a construction, civil engineering or large project environment.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience with Microsoft Azure and Office 365 in a corporate environment.
• Understanding of DevSecOps best practices.
• Experience working with globally dispersed teams and providers
