Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Purview Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Microsoft Purview solutions for enterprise data governance and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft Purview, data cataloging, governance, compliance, and security, along with experience integrating Purview with other enterprise systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement Microsoft Purview solutions to support enterprise-wide data governance, compliance, and security initiatives.
  • Define and develop metadata management, data lineage, data classification, and access policies within Microsoft Purview.
  • Collaborate with data governance, security, and compliance teams to align Purview implementation with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and implement data discovery, classification, and cataloging strategies to ensure data traceability and accessibility.
  • Integrate Microsoft Purview with Azure Data Services, Power BI, SQL Server, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Optimize performance, security, and automation of Purview solutions through scripting and API integrations.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for data governance, risk management, and compliance using Purview.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions for internal stakeholders to enhance Purview adoption and data governance maturity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Purview deployments, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Stay updated on Microsoft Purview advancements and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, compliance, or enterprise data architecture.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview and Azure Data Services.
  • Expertise in data classification, metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, SOC 2).
  • Experience integrating Microsoft Purview with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, and Power BI.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python for automation.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with security and compliance teams to enforce data access controls and policies.
  • Knowledge of data security concepts such as encryption, access management, and data masking.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Security Engineer Associate.
  • Experience with Azure Policy, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Information Protection.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML-driven data governance and automated classification.
  • Experience in large-scale data governance implementations in enterprise environments.
