Your Mission
Reducing GHG emissions from the oil and natural gas industry is one of the single greatest short-term impacts that we can make towards decarbonizing our economy. Incentivizing the production, transportation, and end use of low-carbon energy is critical. Highwood is looking to expand its consulting team and is currently seeking to fill the role of Emissions Consultant. The consulting team at Highwood delivers high-value, actionable products to clients as well as contributing to innovation through Highwood's software offerings and overall thought leadership.
You will contribute to challenging, fast paced consulting projects which call for strong data analytics, technical writing, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills. In addition to consulting, Highwood is focused on building our Emission Intelligence Platform (EIP), which allows customers to understand their emissions in new and valuable ways. You will use EIP in consulting projects and as you develop expertise in the industry, contribute feedback to its development.
Your role will be to contribute to the consulting team through the creation of high value deliverables, staying current with industry education and trends. The role is an exciting growth opportunity where you will:
- Engage in exciting consulting projects – Your core function will be to contribute to consulting projects. These projects see the consulting team conducting data science and analytics with Highwood's in-house models as well as supporting software for the consultants choosing (Python, R, Excel, etc.). In addition, consulting projects see Highwood providing actionable insights through presentations, workshops, and deliverables.
- Work with an unprecedented quantity of methane data – Between our software and consulting partners, Highwood works with many methane detection and quantification technology vendors and operators active in this space. This gives our team exposure to a wide variety of datasets.
- Work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment – The consulting team works collaboratively with the R&D, product, and senior leadership teams.
- Contribute to the development of innovative software – Building EIP is a team effort. As you develop expertise in the methane reduction landscape through consulting projects, you will contribute feedback to the ongoing refinement of EIP.
We are looking for a confident technical consultant who can apply strong data skills to a client-focused consulting role. The ideal candidate thrives equally on delivering challenging, technical products and building relationships with new and existing clients. If you bring both people skills and analytical chops, we'd love to meet you.
Expectations:
- Deliver high-quality solutions to our consulting clients: contribute to technical and actionable deliverables, effectively communicate outcomes to clients through both written reports and presentations.
- Effectively manage projects by working within defined scopes, budgets, and timelines, all collaboratively with Highwood's diverse team.
- Apply statistical techniques to analyze complex emissions datasets and extract meaningful insights.
- Develop proficiency in, and apply, Highwood's software solutions to provide clients with actionable guidance on methane emissions reduction strategies. Work closely with our R&D and Product teams to stay up to date with Highwood's software offerings and provide guidance on development.
- Develop and maintain long-term productive client relationships focused on retention and reengagement.
About You
