Overview

Our team is seeking 2 experienced ETL Developers who will be responsible for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of data warehouses, data marts.

Professional experience should include hands-on experience in database and reporting environments using Microsoft SQL Server technology, strong SQL skills, ETL development.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow and integration.
  • Utilize SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis within data warehouses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
  • Optimize existing ETL workflows and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Communicate findings and insights effectively to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in data management and analytics.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience developing complex ETL (Extract Transform and Load) procedures.
  • Direct enterprise level experience and education with Kimball Methodology.
  • Experience developing and maintaining methods, processes and functionality utilized to accomplish data conversion requirements.
  • Expertise with the creation, maintenance and tuning of database objects (specifically stored procedures).
  • Conducting data profiling and designing target data structures (data models) in compliance with the corporate data architecture.
  • Developing ETL processes to monitor, control and maintain data integrity, accuracy and security.
  • Experience analyzing ETL processes for speed optimization and contributing to system architectural design and planning discussions.
  • Experience working with conceptual, logical and physical data models, data flows and databases; along with creating/maintaining conceptual, logical and physical data documentation.
  • Broad experience with Enterprise ETL Tools (SSIS, SAS Data Integration Studio, Informatica, etc.).
  • Experience facilitating, gathering and documenting user requirements through application design sessions with business clients.
  • Project experience with formal development methodologies and formal change management procedures.

Desirable Attributes

  • 2 years developing ETL in a DataMart or BI Analytics environment.
  • Experience within the Financial sector is an asset.
  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Sciences, Management Information Systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, time management and problem-solving abilities.
