In addition to planning and executing the premier running and walking events in Calgary, we are always looking for ways to deepen our connection and create greater community impact. We can't do this without the support of sponsors. That's where you come in!

We're looking ahead with a new strategic vision and expanding our operations. To help achieve this vision, we're searching to fill this new Sales + Partnership role..

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Executive Director, and working closely with Marketing, the Partnership Manager will be responsible for selling sponsorships and building strategic relationships to support the growth and success of Run Calgary events and working with Marketing to ensure contracts are fulfilled.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, manage, and maintain a robust sponsorship sales pipeline.
  • Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities aligned with Run Calgary's values and mission.

  • Build customized partnership packages that meet client objectives and maximize value.
  • Lead outreach, proposal development, presentations, and negotiations with potential sponsors.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and relationship management with current partners.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and event teams to ensure sponsor deliverables are fulfilled.
  • Track and report on sales metrics and sponsorship ROI
  • Represent Run Calgary at events, meetings, and industry functions as needed

ABOUT YOU

Experienced and a proven track record in Sales, Sponsorship or comparable industry. Highly adaptable, thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. Confident communicator and natural relationship builder. Competitive, driven, and goal-oriented; motivated by closing deals and hitting targets. Creative thinker with a problem-solving mindset and entrepreneurial spirit. You must enjoy working on a team with lots of opinions and be willing to share yours. Generally ‘yes people' who are nimble and excited about our mission thrive in the Run Calgary environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of sales is a bonus
  • License

LOCATION: Calgary, Alberta, at Run Calgary HQ, on-site locations

JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Contract, some weekends and evenings required.

COMPENSATION: Monthly base retainer fee commensurate with experience and a competitive commission on new sponsorship agreements.

TARGETED START DATE: June 15, 2025
