Estimator
Location: Surrey, BC (On-site) | Full-Time,
Salary range: $70,000–$100,000 annually
A growing construction firm is seeking a skilled Estimator to lead project cost estimation efforts.
This role involves collaborating with clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to accurately assess time, labor, and material costs for building projects.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for all projects
· Lead the estimating team in the preparation and submission of bids
· Consult with clients, architects, and vendors to formulate estimates and resolve issues
· Analyze construction documents, specifications, and proposals to determine project costs
· Perform quantity take-offs and calculate costs of materials, labor, and equipment
· Maintain and update the estimating cost database
· Collaborate with the project management team during preconstruction for constructability reviews
· Create bid packages and ensure necessary information is included for accurate bidding
· Review subcontractor and supplier bids for accuracy and compliance
· Prepare instructions to bidders and finalize bid forms
· Present and explain project budgets to stakeholders
· Oversee the turnover process and handoff to project managers
· Attend site walkthroughs and contribute to construction planning
· Manage and track multiple projects concurrently
· Handle administrative tasks such as processing incoming/outgoing mail
Schedule & Location:
· Monday to Friday | 8-hour shifts
· On-site role in Surrey, BC V3N 4N2
