We are seeking Senior DevOps Security Engineer with expertise in the Prisma Cloud suite. This contract will have an initial term of 7 months with a chance of renewal.

You will be required to be in the office 2 days per week. Our client is located steps from Union Station but also has offices in Markham and Mississauga.

The successful candidate will be pivotal in securing cloud environments, primarily within Azure, and will contribute to a smaller-scale Prisma Cloud implementation on AWS. This role involves close collaboration with the Platform Team, which manages containerized environments (Kubernetes), and a dotted-line reporting relationship to Security Operations.

The organization leverages the entire Prisma Cloud suite, which has been fully implemented on Red Hat in their Azure environment (comprising 95% of their infrastructure). This is a 7-month contract position with the potential for renewal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the subject matter expert for securing DevOps environments, with a strong focus on the Prisma Cloud suite.
• Manage and optimize Prisma Cloud for security monitoring, threat detection, policy enforcement, and compliance across Azure (predominantly Red Hat OpenShift - ARO, Azure Kubernetes Service - AKS) and AWS environments.
• Collaborate with the Platform Team to ensure robust security for containerized applications (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Work with Security Operations to respond to, investigate, and tune security alerts and incidents originating from Prisma Cloud and other security tools (e.g., WAF).
• Develop and refine security best practices, policies, and automation for DevOps processes and infrastructure.
• Contribute to the security of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Artifactory).
• Assist in maintaining and enhancing the security posture of the DevOps infrastructure, including Red Hat ARO, AKS, NetApp Trident, PostgreSQL, and monitoring tools like ELK, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Support the small project to implement Prisma Cloud on AWS.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a DevOps Security Engineer or a similar role with a strong emphasis on cloud security.
• Deep, hands-on experience with the full Prisma Cloud suite (formerly Palo Alto Networks cloud security products) in an enterprise environment.
• Experience securing Azure cloud environments, particularly those utilizing Red Hat technologies (OpenShift/ARO).
• Strong understanding and practical experience with container security (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with Palo Alto Networks' broader security ecosystem.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and tools.
• Experience with security logging, monitoring, and incident response.
• Knowledge of WAF solutions and other application security tools.
• At least 5 years of experience in Information Security and systems development, including experience in Red Hat Linux environments and DevOps teams.
