Job Title: Risk Analyst – Liquidity Risk Measurement

Location: Toronto, ON

Contract Length: 7 Months (Possibility of Extension or Full-Time Conversion)

Our client, a leading Canadian financial institution, is hiring a Risk Analyst to join the Liquidity Risk Measurement team within Corporate Treasury. This team plays a key role in supporting both internal and regulatory liquidity reporting by ensuring strong data governance, control effectiveness, and accurate reporting outputs.

In this role, you will collaborate with the Controller of Liquidity Measurement and contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly reporting obligations. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who are technically strong in data processing and analytics and are looking to deepen their expertise in liquidity risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance internal control processes related to liquidity data
  • Develop reports for regulatory and internal use using SQL, Excel, and Tableau
  • Model business-specific products in QRM (Quantitative Risk Management)
  • Guide technical staff in mapping data feeds
  • Reconcile data to the general ledger and ensure data integrity
  • Support compliance with liquidity adequacy regulations
  • Translate complex reporting needs into actionable data models

Qualifications – Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
  • Proficient in SQL and advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros)
  • Strong analytical and time-management skills
  • Clear and professional communication skills (written and verbal in English)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in banking or other financial institutions
  • Familiarity with Tableau or other BI tools
  • Understanding of liquidity risk and LAR regulatory frameworks
