Job Description

Healing Roots Therapy is seeking a Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist to provide in-person services within Mississauga, Ontario. We are looking for a dedicated professional passionate about conducting psychoeducational assessments, psychological diagnoses, and providing psychotherapy services to clients.

The Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist to join our dynamic mental health team at Healing Roots Therapy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Providing high-quality psychotherapy services to our clients, as well as conducting comprehensive psychoeducational and psychological assessments for individuals aged 7 and up.
Empathetic, open-minded, encouraging and ethical supervisors who can help in the growth and learning of a team of therapists when it comes to clinical skills and ethical duties.
Experience in couples and family therapy will be highly regarded.
Provide in-person services.
Support 10-15 clients weekly with psychotherapy services/assessments.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical, Counselling, or School Psychology from an accredited program OR a Master's degree in Psychology with relevant registration.
A current license as a Registered Psychologist in Ontario with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO).
Training in evidence-based interventions and a strong interest in psychotherapy integration
Excellent case conceptualization skills
Proficiency in psychological and psychoeducational assessments, including autism, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, ADHD, and child/adolescent mental health.
At least 1 year of psychotherapy experience (experience with couples and families is an asset).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities.
Demonstrated clinical experience, commitment to ethical best practices, and a dedication to ongoing professional development.
Flexibility: Ability to be flexible and responsive in delivering services.
Knowledge of cultural diversity, with proficiency in other languages considered an asset.
Able to provide clinical supervision to a team of psychotherapists is an asset.
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Screening.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct individual psychotherapy sessions with adolescents and adults, addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, and relationship problems.
Perform psychoeducational assessments to evaluate learning disabilities, ADHD, and other cognitive or developmental issues in children, adolescents and adults.
Administer and interpret psychological assessments to help diagnose mental health conditions.
Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and current psychological research.
Provide therapy to couples and families, assisting them in improving communication, resolving conflicts, and understanding relational dynamics.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
Support 10-15 clients weekly (Part-time)
Conduct an initial intake with the proposed client, as needed, and assist with client scheduling;
Prepare and ensure accurate, thorough and timely recording of all client information and documentation, including but not limited to: session activity notes, reports, correspondence of consented third parties, legal forms and doctor's letters, while ensuring all information is up-to- date and continually documented;
