Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager / Junior Project Manager to join our growing team. The successful candidate will support the Project Manager and Site teams in the planning, coordination, and execution of ICI construction projects, primarily in the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing day-to-day project operations from pre-construction through to close-out.
Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, clients, and internal teams to ensure project requirements and timelines are met.
Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
Participate in procurement activities including tendering, bid analysis, and contract award processes.
Assist in preparing and tracking RFI's, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.
Attend and document project meetings, including progress and coordination meetings.
Monitor construction progress and support the Site Superintendent with resolving onsite issues.
Assist with managing project financials including cost tracking and forecasting.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and project-specific protocols, particularly in active healthcare environments.
Contribute to quality control processes and project close-out documentation.
Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
1–3 years of relevant experience in ICI construction, ideally with exposure to healthcare projects.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar).
Familiarity with infection control and working in active healthcare environments is an asset.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Valid Ontario driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
