Temporary, Technical Analyst

(6 months)

Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering both functional and technical expertise on corporate and infrastructure systems to the end-user community as an SAP Basis Administrator. This role includes tasks such as analyzing, designing, developing, testing, administering, and managing databases and managing databases, system configurations/compliance, implementation, support, and project control/management for information and operational technologies, including ERP, GIS, and CIS. The successful candidate will also guide Analysts, Programmers, System Support Analysts, and other stakeholders, including Managers and Supervisors, during the implementation of small to medium-sized projects. Additionally, this role will involve investigating and analyzing user requirements, processes, and issues to automate or enhance existing systems, addressing technical needs related to corporate applications, mobile devices, virtual solutions, operating systems, patches, upgrades, software deployment & distribution, and cybersecurity. The Technical Analyst will be responsible for developing and enforcing security standards and change management procedures for corporate applications and operating systems.

The successful applicant must have the following skills and competencies:

• University Degree in Computer Science or related discipline with a minimum of two (2) years of similar or related experience; OR College diploma in a related field with a minimum of three (3) years' similar or related experience.
• Experience supporting backend architecture of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, customer information systems (CIS) and geographic information systems (GIS) considered an asset.
• Develop and implement system copies and data refreshes
• Hands-on experience in SAP Basis tasks such as SAP system upgrades, refreshes, migrations, patch installations, applying notes and DR testing
• Experience in handling S4 HANA and exposure to NetWeaver concepts and products (Fiori, Solman, and Enterprise Portal) and other SAP systems
• Managing and building security roles and user management in SAP environments, including both back-end and Fiori Launchpad concepts
• Strong working knowledge in Linux and Windows operating system platforms
• Experience in managing SAP environments in both on-premises and private cloud-based infrastructures (RISE)
• Knowledge of performance monitoring tools (e.g., SAP Early Watch Alert, SAP Cloud ALM)
• Strong technology project management skills focused within an information systems and infrastructure environment.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills with customer service focus.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proactively research, analyze and recommend current trends, standards, practices and/or products.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team through successful, positive and collaborative relationships.
• Valid class "G" driver's licence is an asset

Salary Range for Qualified Candidates: $101,043 – $112,270
