Position Summary

The Driver Helper will assist drivers in the transportation and handling of event equipment, materials, and supplies. This role involves working closely with Drivers to ensure timely deliveries, setup, and the overall success of events. The ideal candidate is organized, has excellent communication skills, and is committed to providing outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist drivers in loading and unloading equipment, materials, and supplies for events, ensuring proper handling and care.
  2. Help in transporting event equipment to and from venues, adhering to schedules and delivery timelines.
  3. Support drivers in navigating routes and finding optimal paths to event locations.
  4. Assist with setting up event equipment and materials at venues, following instructions provided by the driver or project manager.
  5. Ensure that all event items are safely secured during transportation and properly arranged at event sites.
  6. Provide excellent customer service by interacting with clients and event staff in a friendly and professional manner.
  7. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of vehicles, equipment, and storage areas.
  8. Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  9. Communicate effectively with the driver, event coordinators, and other team members to coordinate activities and address any issues or concerns.
  10. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the event industry or transportation sector, is an asset
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, depending on event schedules.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.

Working Conditions:

  • Warehouse environment with occasional exposure to outdoor elements.
  • Physical work involving frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
  • Standard 8-hour shifts with the potential for overtime during busy periods.
