5. Leadership experience or a willingness to step into a leadership role.
6. Solid computer skills and excellent communication abilities.
7. Flexibility to handle varying hours, including weekends and holidays, when needed.
8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you'll take charge of the daily operations in our Ottawa Shop, ensuring our waste collection fleet is running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You'll work with a team of mechanics and collaborate with drivers and supervisors to keep our vehicles in top shape. 1. Support the maintenance team in prioritizing and organizing daily repairs and maintenance tasks.
2. Diagnose and repair waste collection trucks, focusing on hydraulics, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance.
3. Ensure all vehicles and equipment meet safety standards and are ready for the road.
4. Troubleshoot and minimize downtime to keep our fleet running smoothly.
5. Work closely with drivers and supervisors, providing professional and team-oriented communication.
6. Oversee shop cleanliness and safety while maintaining equipment records.
7. Collaborate with outside vendors and address service calls promptly.
8. Assist with special projects and additional tasks as needed.
