We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Technician to join our team in Ontario, working full-time in our office. This role is critical to the successful installation, maintenance, and support of our advanced technology systems, including wireless nurse call systems like POLTYS and communication platforms such as Panasonic and Grandstream phone systems. The Technician will collaborate with our engineering and support teams to ensure that senior living facilities across North America benefit from reliable, high-performance systems that enhance resident safety and staff efficiency. Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain wireless nurse call systems, with a focus on POLTYS systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing facility infrastructure.
  • Set up and troubleshoot Panasonic and Grandstream phone systems, including VoIP configurations, to support clear and reliable communication for staff and residents.
  • Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on nurse call and phone systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to nurse call and communication systems, providing timely support to clients in senior living facilities.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to assess system requirements, recommend solutions, and execute installations within project timelines.
  • Conduct on-site and remote testing of systems to verify functionality and address any performance issues.
  • Document all installations, maintenance activities, and client interactions in detail for internal records and client reporting.
  • Train facility staff on the operation and basic troubleshooting of nurse call and phone systems to enhance user adoption and satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on advancements in nurse call and communication technologies to recommend improvements and ensure our company remains at the forefront of the industry.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations during all installations and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in installing, configuring, or maintaining wireless nurse call systems, with specific experience using POLTYS systems preferred; experience with any nurse call system will be considered.
  • Proven expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Panasonic and Grandstream phone systems, including VoIP technology.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and cabling, with the ability to integrate communication systems into existing facility networks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently under time constraints.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, facility staff, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, in-office environment in Ontario.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites within Ontario as needed for installations or support.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for system testing and configuration.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in telecommunications, networking, or related fields are a plus.
  • Must be located in Ontario and available for full-time, in-office work.
Compensation
  • Base Salary: $90,000 per year, paid bi-weekly.
