Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the successful candidate will lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, ensuring their effectiveness and professional development. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency, as well as evaluating and implementing new technologies to enhance accounting processes, with a strong focus on system implementation and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering their development through coaching, one-on-one meetings, and customized growth plans.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to streamline accounting processes and drive efficiency improvements.
  • Evaluate, implement, and integrate new technologies and systems to enhance accounting operations.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of accounting processes and progress towards improvement objectives.
  • Manage internal and external resources to ensure effective collaboration and optimal performance.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging problem-solving skills and process improvement methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Accounting, Finance and CPA Designated.
  • Strong team leadership skills and 5+ years experience in a direct leadership role.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience facilitating collaboration across teams and managing internal and external resources.
  • Strong systems background (Implementation and Integration)
