Compensation & Schedule:
- Regular rate: $46.51/hour (OT after 8 Hrs & weekends).
- Shift pattern: 14 days on / 7 days off.
- Shift length: 10-hour shifts.
- Duration: 3 months (with possiblibility of extension).
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain and troubleshoot piping systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform high torquing and tensioning of bolted connections to precise torque wrench settings.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, and flange alignment drawings.
- Dismantle, align and reassemble rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines) as needed.
- Conduct pre startup inspections and pressure testing of piping circuits.
- Ensure all work meets applicable codes (ASME B31.3, CSA, API) and project quality standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (welders, electricians, riggers) to coordinate scopes.
- Complete daily reports, time sheets, and permit to work documentation.
- Uphold site safety protocols, participate in toolbox talks, and mentor apprentices.
Required Qualifications:
- Journeyman certification in Pipefitting or Millwright trade.
- Minimum 5 years' proven experience in industrial pipefitting/mechanical on heavy industry projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in high torquing bolting techniques (hydraulic torquing tools, tensioners).
- Proficiency reading and working from P&IDs, isometrics, and alignment schematics.
- Ability to safely operate overhead cranes, hoists, and mechanical jacks.
- Valid CSO, WHMIS, and CSTS.
- Physically fit and able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in all weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous work on an LNGC or large-scale liquefied natural gas construction/maintenance project.
- Experience with controlled goods environments or security cleared sites.
- Familiarity with precision alignment tools (laser, optical alignment systems).
- Basic rigging and signaling certification.
