Job Summary The position of Insurance Specialist will be responsible for all communication with customers and insurance companies to keep all applicable information up to date. This position requires a high level of professionalism with a strong ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. This position reports directly to our Insurance Analyst Team Lead.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist New Customers with the setup of Summit Fleet's insurance requirements with their insurance providers
  • Keep all active customers' insurance documents up to date
  • Assist customers and vendors with insurance claims they are processing involving Summit Fleet's trucks
  • Help create and keep up to date documentation of all job duties and processes for this role
  • Filing and documenting claims on internal recoveries for damaged vehicles
  • Assisting in legal disputes for auto claims filed against our policy
  • Be the expert on managing our customers' insurance for Summit Fleet
  • All other duties as assigned
Full-Time hours of availability (MTN)
  • Monday to Friday 8:30AM to 5:00 PM
Qualifications/Skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and self-management skills
  • Organized with attention to detail and critical thinking
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and interact with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent at time management
  • Team player
  • Ability to perform well in a high stress environment
  • Willingness to learn internal software

Education and/or Experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • 2-3 years of experience in an office/customer service environment
  • Experience with commercial insurance preferred but not required
  • College degree preferred but not required
