Key Responsibilities
- Assisting legal department with file management/intake of legal requests.
- Performing updates to and maintenance of contract management system.
- Entering data from contracts into contract management system.
- Tracking, populating, management and ongoing maintenance of contract management calendar and legal intake portal and requests associated therewith.
- General other administrative duties as needed, including but not limited to data analysis from agreements to support business asks.
- Performing preliminary review of requests from various internal groups and prepare information and documents for review by General Counsel.
- Information gathering and management for compliance/regulatory purposes across the organization, including but not limited to insurance requirements and regulatory filings.
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders as may be required.
- Coordinating and scheduling meetings and appointments.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Diploma or degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal or related field.
- Experience working as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role is an asset.
- Excellent, strong written and oral communication skills.
- Critical thinker with the ability to make sound decisions.
- The ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize.
- Strong technical and word processing skills.
- Interest in law, procurement and/or contracting.
- Proficient with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Sharepoint).
- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task and meet tight timelines.
- Excellent attention to detail and diligent proofreading skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, an excellent team player who takes initiative.
- Eagerness to learn new technology/processes and further develop skills.
- Good judgement and ability to exercise discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
