Salary: $60,000-$80,000 (commensurate with experience)

About the CompanyOur client a seasoned Construction Management firm specializing in corporate interiors. They have operated for many decade and work with a trusted circle of repeat clients law firms, banks, insurance companies, and national office/retail brands. The bread and butter projects are fast-paced, high-touch interiors in the $250K-$350K range, with a premium on client satisfaction, schedule, and smooth turnover.
They subcontract 100% of trades and are signatory to major trade unions. You'll be joining a tight-knit, low-ego team that works fast, works smart, and values reliability over bravado.
The RoleWere looking for a Junior Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager to support our VP of Construction. This is a dual role:
- 50% Project Coordination managing documentation, tracking submittals, coordinating schedules, etc.
- 50% Assistant PM supporting jobs directly handled by the VP, including site exposure, trades follow-ups, and some light client interaction.
This is an in-office role (North Toronto) with some flexibility for partial remote work depending on experience and performance.
Responsibilities- Track and manage project documentation: RFIs, submittals, change orders, close-out packages
- Coordinate with trades, vendors, and clients on job deliverables
- Support project scheduling (MS Project) and track milestones
- Assist in procurement, shop drawing reviews, and permit coordination
- Attend occasional site visits to support project execution (no tool belt required)
- Support VP of Construction on select, higher-visibility projects
- Use tech tools (MS Office, Jonas, AI-enabled tools where appropriate) to streamline admin
- Help ensure timely, clean project close-outs
- 2+ years in commercial construction, ideally interiors (retail/industrial may be considered)
- Experience coordinating in occupied environments (e.g., active offices, secure sites)
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and ideally Jonas
- Able to juggle multiple projects and competing priorities with calm, clear communication
- Must have project close-out experience
- Strong documentation and detail-tracking skills
- Tech-savvy and adaptable ideally able to leverage AI tools for process efficiency
- Familiarity with working under a Construction Manager model (outsourcing trades, coordinating union subs)
- Education in Construction Management or Architecture from George Brown, TMU, or equivalent
- Familiarity with corporate interiors in financial/legal/insurance sectors
- Understanding of permit processes and coordination with city inspectors
- Direct mentorship under a seasoned VP with deep industry ties
- Meaningful exposure to long-term, high-value client relationships
