About the Role:

The Warehouse Picker is responsible for order fulfillment within the internal and external value chain. This position works closely with internal stakeholders.

The Warehouse Picker reports directly to the Senior Materials Manager.

Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities

  • Respond to requisitions by picking material and ensuring that orders prioritized and processed correctly.
  • Ensuring that the picked orders are accurate and that the physical goods match the requisition for product type, quality, quantity, and documentation.
  • Providing input to the Inventory Control Team and working to resolve any stock discrepancies that get discovered during the fulfillment process.
  • Working with the Sales Team to resolve problems and perform value-added work as required.
  • Stocking away residual material after fulfilling an order and ensuring that goods are relocated correctly, in accordance with the ERP system.
  • Assist in compiling information on the receipt or distribution of material, equipment, merchandise or supplies and use this information to compute inventory balance.
  • Assist with receiving, sorting, and stocking material, equipment, merchandise or supplies to shelf locations.
  • Count material, equipment, merchandise and supplies in stock and provide accurate totals to post on electronic inventory records.
  • Follow loss prevention policies and ensure that material gets handled appropriately during fulfillment operations.
  • Ensure the general cleanliness of the warehouse and workspace
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Superior organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Experience

  • Experience in a similar role is an asset.
  • Experience with a computerized inventory system.
  • Aviation experience is considered an asset.
