Our client, a highly respected commercial property owner and management firm, is seeking an experienced Commercial Building Operator for their office in the Lower Mainland. This opportunity has arisen due to the company's continued expansion.
About the Role
As a Building Operator, you will oversee and inspect office and industrial building systems, including plumbing, mechanical, and electrical, ensuring optimal performance and tenant comfort. You will assist contractors, obtain work estimates, and support energy management initiatives. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, performing scheduled and on-demand maintenance, and adhering to corporate safety and environmental policies. Additionally, you will manage tenant work orders, track compliance testing, and maintain detailed logs and inspections using in-house systems.
The Offer
The role offers a competitive salary of up to $80K, along with benefits, vacation, and additional perks.
What You Bring
To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in commercial property management operations with a strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, Client systems, and life safety systems. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required. Holding a 5th class power engineering license or BES certification is considered an asset. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, team-oriented, and possess excellent troubleshooting skills. A passion for sustainability and energy management is also highly valued.
