Location: Lloydminster, SK
Work Schedule / Hours of work: 8 hours per day, 40 hours a week M-F.
Overtime requirements: N/A. If chosen candidate is a T4 Contractor, OT rate will be added to the work order with a note that any OT would need pre-approval in advance.
Expense/Allowances: Some travel to sites will be required. Company vehicle around Lloydminster. If Travel to other locations is required than that will be pre- approved along with the items that can be reimbursed.
Rates:
- T4 $45-50/hr
- IC $55-60/hr
Our client is looking for a Contract Maintenance & Reliability Engineer or EIT for a 12 month term to support our Upstream Oilsands assets (Lloydminster Thermal). Reporting to the Maintenance Readiness Manager, this position is accountable to develop and implement maintenance strategies to mitigate the risk of equipment failure.
The engineer will be accountable for the development and implementation of Reliability standards, processes, and tools, as well as collaborating with the asset-based teams to actively manage the maintenance program development for MOCs and optimize it to maximize reliability, efficiency, and safety.
In addition to taking initiative, this role has a high level of accountability, is deliverables focused and adapts quickly to changing priorities.
The position is based in Lloydminster; however, travel to site will be required (quarterly basis).
Responsibilities:
• Lead or support equipment Criticality Analysis and gap closure.
• Support data collection and closure of functional location/equipment hierarchy gaps according to Cenovus data standards
• Utilize Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) tools and processes to develop risk-based asset management strategies for new facilities and/or major expansions.
• Analyze existing maintenance strategies and KPI's to determine opportunity for improvements and support or lead gap closure.
• Provide expertise to support or lead closure of site-specific Preventive maintenance programs gaps.
• Provide expertise in development of Equipment Bill of Materials and identifying critical & operating spare inventory.
• Lead equipment hierarchy and asset data development from small & large projects
• Support Process Safety Critical Equipment (SCE) identification and develops Maintenance Programs in alignment with SCE Performance Standards.
• Support maintenance work planning, scheduling, and execution improvement initiatives
• Support the development of job aids and training materials to enhance knowledge and utilization of SAP PM Module.
• Support the development and reporting of M&R KPI's and dashboards including maintaining master data in an accurate and timely manner to ensure validity of the KPI's.
• Support the development of standards and processes that set the minimum requirements for Canadian Thermal & Conventional Heavy Oil (CHO) maintenance, reliability, and turnarounds.

Qualifications:
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or EIT registered with APEGS
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred; however, Engineers from other disciplines with experience in a similar role will be considered.
• 1+ years Engineering and/or Maintenance & Reliability Experience in Oil and Gas
• Experience in facility operating environments, preferably upstream Thermal (SAGD) facilities, and ideally working in or directly with maintenance and operations teams would be an asset.
• Knowledge and experience with safe work practices in oil and gas production accompanied by a superior safety attitude.
• Familiarity with industry standards related to equipment reliability, safety, and risk management would be an asset.
• Knowledge of SAP PM module would be an asset.
• Change management experience in managing change from projects would be an asset.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
• As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate
