Position Overview:

We're looking for an experienced HVAC professional to manage and estimate commercial projects. You'll be working with existing clients and focusing on accurately bidding projects and seeing them through to successful completion. Think of it as a Project Manager role with the added benefit of commissions based on your successful projects. We anticipate your earnings to exceed $150,000 per year based on current performance in the role.

Position: HVAC Project Manager & Estimator

Pay: $70,000 base salary + uncapped commission.

Work Hours: Monday through Friday

Location: Regina, SK

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (THE CORE OF YOUR ROLE):

  • Project Management & Estimation: Oversee commercial and industrial HVAC projects from bid to completion.
  • Technical Analysis: Analyze customer design proposals, blueprints, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates and project plans.
  • Bid Preparation: Manage the preparation of detailed estimates for design-build, time and material, and plan/spec projects.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and guide a team to ensure the technical accuracy of project deliverables.
  • Project Execution: Manage project activities throughout their lifecycle, including resource allocation, documentation, and ensuring projects are completed cost-effectively, safely, and on time to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their needs, present solutions, and ensure project success.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain and grow current business and client relationships through excellent service and project delivery.
  • Mentorship: Provide mentoring and guidance to technical staff, assigning duties as required.
  • Project Tracking: Maintain project schedules and project cost summaries to track work progress, budget status, and manpower resource utilization.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS (WHAT YOU BRING):

  • 3-5 years of previous estimating experience in HVAC and/or plumbing.
  • Essential: Strong experience and deep understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Journeyman Trade certification (Plumber, Gas Fitter, Refrigeration) is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes and standards.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset but not required.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
