Job Summary:

The Purchasing Coordinator will oversee the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for the organization. This role involves maintaining relationships with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and supporting the purchasing team in achieving departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including negotiating terms and pricing to secure the best deals.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate reorders as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings.
  • Assist in developing and implementing purchasing strategies to optimize costs and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to forecast needs and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes.
  • Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Support the resolution of any issues related to order fulfillment or vendor performance.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and changes in supplier offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, ideally in the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP (MS Dynamics 365 Preferred) software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
