Fife House is an innovative, client-focused provider of secure and supportive affordable housing and services to people living with HIV/AIDS in the Greater Toronto Area. With approximately 110 staff working across 6 locations, in 2023-2024, Fife House served more than 1,200 residents clients through transitional and long-term supportive housing programs, as well as outreach and support services to clients facing housing insecurity or homelessness. Job Description Fife House is seeking a committed, highly motivated individual with a passion for purpose-driven charity/non-profit work for the Full-Time position of Senior Development & Events Coordinator. The Senior Development & Events Coordinator will be responsible for organizing and implementation Fife House's calendar of fundraising and awareness events; supporting daily general fundraising tasks such as donor stewardship and receipting, and daily entries, maintenance, and reconciliation of the fundraising database; and providing support with other fundraising campaigns and initiatives, including third party events. The coordinator will work as a part of the Development & Communications Team to meet Fife House's fundraising and communications goals in order to steward, cultivate, and grow Fife House's network of donors, partners, and supporters so that the organization can fulfil its mission. This role will entail a combination of office and work from home environments, with the employee working 3-4 days per week at our Toronto office. Occasional travel to fundraising activities and events or meetings in Toronto and the GTA will be required. Some evening & weekend work will be required from time to time, particularly for events and in the summer months. Contract: Full-Time, 1 year Contract (with a strong possibility of Permanant extension) 40 Hours flexible schedule, Monday to Friday (Hybrid 3-4 days in office) * Ability & flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends from time to time, particularly in the summer months or for events. Job Responsibilities 1. Development * Supporting daily entries and maintenance of the fundraising database, tax receipting, and monthly reconciliation and reporting to ensure accuracy of data * Building and maintaining relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and other stakeholders. This includes online/phone/in-person outreach and support, networking at events, cultivating donor relationships, and identifying opportunities for collaboration with external partners and sponsors. * Where appropriate, sending materials, creating donation pages, and setting up information/donation tables at third-party fundraising events, or for awareness events * Supporting fundraising campaigns such as direct mail campaigns, annual, and year-end giving. * Develop and implement a strategic and innovative fundraising plan – including peer-to-peer and corporate-focused events - to attract, retain and recognize new donors, partners, sponsors, grow revenue through events. * Working in collaboration with the Development & Communications Team to plan and create print, broadcast and/or digital materials, including social media, to promote the work of the organization, and to promote events and campaign, both externally and internally 1. Events * Act as a dedicated ambassador for Fife House, cultivating and strengthening relationships with current and prospective supporters, donors, partners, staff, and volunteers. Proactively engage with event sponsors, volunteers, and attendees to drive participation, secure financial support, and ensure the successful execution of fundraising initiatives * Performing various tasks necessary for planning, implementing and wrap-up of events, including developing and managing plans and budgets, critical paths, liaising and negotiating with vendors, recruiting and managing event volunteers, pre and post donor stewardship, recognition, and constituent communications, event set-up and tear-down, logistics and shipping, post-event reports, etc. * Engaging and outreaching to supporters, partners, and sponsors to drive event participation and fundraising efforts. * Maintain accurate records of donations, sponsorships, and fundraising campaigns. Analyze trends and report on progress toward fundraising targets, identifying areas for improvement. * Develop compelling impact reports that highlight the tangible outcomes of events and sponsorships, reinforcing the value of stakeholders' support. * Identifying opportunities and responding to enquiries so as to provide guidance and support for third-party fundraising events, including those conducted by corporate partners, community organizations and individual donors. 1. Other duties as assigned from time to time Qualifications & Skills * A degree or post-secondary diploma/certificate in certificate in non-profit management, event management, business administration, marketing, or related social sciences, is required. * A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, event management, donor management, community engagement, cause marketing, sponsorship, sales and marketing, * Highly organized, with incredible attention to detail * Genuinely enjoys working with people. Inclusive and empathetic. * Ability to work both independently and in a team environment * Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English are required. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (MS365, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, mail merges) * CFRE is an asset * Experience with fundraising databases, such as Raiser's Edge, is required. * Experience with mass-email services such as MailChimp or Constant Contact, an asset * Experience with digital and video design software such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, an asset * Adaptable and creative self-starter, capable of identifying needs, problem-solving, coming up with creative solutions, and taking independent action. * Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively coordinate multiple events and campaigns simultaneously * Professional and friendly demeanour; confident at networking events and doing public presentations * Valid driver's license is good to have but not mandatory * Exude a high-energy, confident, creative, and solution-focused approach to tasks * Experience recruiting and working with volunteers for special events. * Experience in managing social media and print/broadcast ad campaigns Nice to have * Lived experience and/or knowledge of Affordable/Community Housing and HIV/AIDS * Lived experience and/or knowledge working with diverse and marginalized groups (e.g. 2SGLBTQIA+ community, racialized peoples and communities, people living in poverty and/or with mental health and substance use challenges What we offer: Competitive compensation, plus comprehensive Benefits Package including health insurance, life insurance, EFAP paid by Fife House, float and management days off, paid sick leave and wellness activities FIFE HOUSE is committed to upholding the values of equity, diversity, and inclusion in our living and work environments.
