Reporting to the Chief Growth and Corporate Services Officer, the EPMO Director will establish, maintain and clearly define a Project Management Framework. The EPMO Director is responsible for completing the development of the Project Management Framework, ensuring projects follow proper governance, ensuring projects align with company objectives, ensuring projects apply a standard approach to project management, assisting in setting project KPI's and reporting.

The EPMO Director works closely with the EPMO Sterring committee comprised of company Executives to assist the company achieving its strategic objectives. They will be experienced in leading and developing projects and have a strong understanding of project management methodologies. They have above average organizational, leadership, and communication skills and ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continue the establishment of an EPMO.
  • Continue development of project governance structure that aligns with business objectives.
  • Continue development of standardized project management processes and tools.
  • Establish key competencies required for project managers and the company as a whole that could benefit in project implementation
  • Determine and communicate key performance indicators for measuring project performance.
  • Be the gatekeeper of approved company projects using established governance.
  • Review documentation for project creation, development and implementation.
  • Track and report on progress of projects, including KPI's, budget, ROI, and timelines.
  • Recommend project adjustments as needed to ensure on-time, on-budget, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Act as a leader, coach and mentor to project teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree in Business Administration or equivalent with a specialization or designation in Project Management or related field with five (5) years or more experience in project management and at least three (3) years of leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Proven experience with program and project management oversight processes
  • Strong understanding in creating and managing budget
  • Manufacturing experience considered an asset
  • Experience working in green energy/solar considered an asset
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Technically sound
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Salary Range: $125,000 to $175,000 Annually
