Avenir Energy is looking for a 310T Apprentice Truck Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and related equipment. You'll play a key part in keeping our fleet safe, efficient, and fully operational while maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues using standard testing procedures and diagnostic equipment.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections in accordance with company and manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct comprehensive repairs on gas and diesel engines, as well as truck systems and components.
- Complete emergency roadside repairs when required.
- Examine and adjust safety-related components including guards, bolts, and protective systems.
- Submit accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and Avenir's Health and Safety Policy.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Stay current through ongoing technical training and review of factory service bulletins.
- Tag and retain parts when applicable under warranty guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered Apprentice (310T), preferably in the first or second year.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, and best practices related to heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Experience with computer-based diagnostic tools and systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
- High attention to safety and efficiency in all work practices.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record; AZ or DZ license is an asset.
- SAP experience is an asset.
