POSITION SUMMARY
Our client, a large-scale public infrastructure organization in the transportation sector, is seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Director of Revenue Diversification & Commercial Performance to join its Commercial Development team. Reporting to Executive Director of Commercial Development, this is a critical leadership role responsible for driving new, non-traditional revenue streams while enhancing the performance and strategic alignment of existing commercial lines of business.
The organization is undergoing a bold transformation, with a strong emphasis on innovation, customer experience, and sustainable long-term growth. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact in a high-visibility position that blends strategy, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the development and implementation of the organization's revenue diversification strategy, identifying and prioritizing new commercial opportunities beyond core operations.
  • Design and oversee a structured governance framework to evaluate, approve, and track potential revenue initiatives through a performance pipeline.
  • Collaborate with commercial business leaders to analyze performance metrics, generate insights, and develop dashboards and reports for executive leadership.
  • Serve as a key contributor to enterprise-level commercial strategy and long-range planning.
  • Monitor market trends, innovation activity, and competitive benchmarks to surface new commercial concepts and partnerships.
  • Manage opportunity assessments from ideation to delivery, including feasibility analysis, stakeholder engagement, and business case development.
  • Establish regular executive-level reporting to communicate strategic performance and inform investment decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-Secondary degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in business development, strategic growth, commercial strategy, or similar fields.
  • 5+ years in leadership, management capacity, preferably in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Experience in the public sector, transportation, real estate, infrastructure, or regulated industries is considered an asset.
  • Strong track record in identifying and evaluating new business or revenue opportunities, including building governance processes and performance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to synthesize data into executive insights and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
  • Adept at stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and navigating change.
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance.
