About the Role:
YMCA of Northern Alberta is YMCA of Northern Alberta is currently seeking an experienced administrative professional, preferably with a background in accounting, to support our accounts payable function and Finance project initiatives. This is a part-time position, working three days per week—two days in office and one day remote (work from home).
Responsibilities:
- Process and issue cheques in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage Visa card and employee expense transactions and ensure proper documentation and reconciliation.
- Handle electronic funds transfers (EFTs) and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
- Maintain and update accounts payable records and files.
- Assist with month-end closing and reconciliation processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
- Provide support for audits and financial reporting as needed.
- Utilize Netsuite ERP system and Concur expense management system for accounts payable tasks and reporting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with Netsuite ERP system and Concur expense management is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
