Position Overview:
  • We are seeking an experienced OpenText Developer and Support Analyst to support, enhance, and maintain our enterprise content management solutions using the OpenText platform.
  • This role is critical for delivering break/fix support, performing system administration, handling upgrades and patches, and developing new solutions leveraging OpenText Content Server and Process Automation/AppWorks.
  • The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation, hands-on experience with OpenText technologies, and a proactive approach to issue resolution, continuous improvement, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide break/fix support and troubleshooting for OpenText applications (Content Server, Extended ECM, AppWorks, Records Management, Archive Center, etc.).
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and patch OpenText software across multiple environments.
  • Administer and maintain OpenText Content Server, AppWorks, and related modules.
  • Design, develop, and maintain OpenText applications, templates, forms, reports, and workflows.
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and contribute to solution design.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell) and ensure system reliability.
  • Participate in full software development lifecycle activities: requirements gathering, design, build, test, deploy, and maintain.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including deployment guides, upgrade plans, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Provide support for other OpenText integrations and third-party tools (e.g., Knowledgemill, GCI PowerTools, Invoice Capture Center).
  • Monitor system performance and health, escalate issues proactively, and follow best practices in system administration and software development.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in:
  • System administration within an enterprise IT environment.
  • OpenText Content Server development using OScript, REST APIs, Web Reports, Forms, Workflows, ActiveView, and Templates.
  • Designing and developing low-code BPM solutions on AppWorks using entities, lifecycles, connectors, and process models.
  • Java or .NET development, including strong object-oriented programming skills.
  • PowerShell scripting, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (jQuery), XML, and SQL.
  • Managing and configuring web/application servers (IIS, Apache Tomcat/TomEE).
  • Microsoft Azure (VMs, Storage, PostgreSQL Flexible Server).

Certifications (preferred or required):
  • OpenText Content Server Administrator Certification
  • OpenText AppWorks Platform Developer & Administrator Certification
  • OpenText Content Server Developer Certification
  • OpenText Archive Center Administrator Certification
  • OpenText Extended ECM for SAP / Microsoft Office 365 Certifications
  • Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Applied Skills Certifications in Data Protection and Threat Defense

Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Experience supporting OpenText add-on products: OTDS, Magellan BI & Reporting, Text Mining/Auto-Classification.
  • Experience with Knowledgemill for Email Management and GCI PowerTools for Documents.
  • Familiarity with Invoice Capture Center, Enterprise Scan, and Vendor Invoice Management.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data analysis, and best practices in testing and quality assurance.
  • Experience writing comprehensive technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Familiarity with SAN/NAS storage systems and related disaster recovery practices.
