The Parts Technician contributes to the operational efficiency of the parts department and to positive CSI results by providing prompt and accurate information and assistance to customers.

Job Duties:

• Assist customers by phone or over the counter offering consistent and high-level service
• Process daily customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions
• Oversee and participate in the shipping, receiving, organizing, storing, and issuing of goods
• Ensure that shipments are prepared for delivery and delivered in a timely manner
• Sort and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
• Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate methods
• Provide necessary information to the Warranty Department to allow prompt filing of parts warranties
• Assist in the preparation and counting of physical inventory
• Process a variety of reports in written and electronic form (e.g. requisitions, paperwork, and reports) for disseminating information and/or materials to appropriate parties
• Aid technicians in determining parts required for repairs

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience as a parts technician is required
• Automotive import parts knowledge is a definite asset
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals
• Overtime as required
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs. frequently and move up to 100 lbs. occasionally
