About You:
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Internal Tools & Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain internal tools and automation solutions that streamline and enhance business and IT processes. This role bridges the gap between technology and operations, helping teams work more efficiently by reducing manual work and integrating systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for automation or tool enhancement.
- Design, build, and maintain internal web applications, scripts, and APIs to support operational needs.
- Collaborate with business and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet user needs.
- Integrate disparate systems and data sources to improve cross-functional workflows.
- Monitor and maintain the performance and reliability of internal tools.
- Create clear documentation and provide support or training for end users.
- Stay up to date with new technologies and best practices in automation, DevOps, and process optimization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong proficiency in a modern programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js).
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Power Automate, Apache Airflow, or custom scripting).
- Knowledge of APIs, system integrations, and RESTful services.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data pipelines.
- Experience with workflow tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, or similar).
- Background in IT operations, DevOps, or process engineering.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about process improvement.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- This is a hybrid role and you need to be able to commute and work in our office 3 days/week.
