Estimating Manager
Location: GTA
Salary: $80,000 +
A leading construction group is seeking an Estimating Manager to oversee pricing and bid development for its new construction division. This is a leadership role requiring deep industry knowledge, team oversight experience, and the ability to drive competitive and accurate estimates across a variety of residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the estimating team, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of bids and proposals.
• Oversee the entire bid process, including reviews, risk assessments, and negotiations.
• Collaborate with internal departments to align cost projections for labor, materials, and equipment.
• Analyze market trends, construction costs, and competitive benchmarks to develop pricing strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and key clients.
• Maintain a deep understanding of internal capabilities and industry positioning.
• Standardize best practices and refine estimating procedures for continuous improvement.
• Support business development efforts with accurate cost assessments and strategic input.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in construction estimating, ideally focused on new builds.
• At least 5 years in a senior or managerial estimating role.
• Proven success managing complex bids and securing profitable projects.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-standard estimating software.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of local codes, regulations, and best practices in construction.
• Ability to travel occasionally for client or site meetings.
