Partner Staffing on behalf of our Client, we are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager Vancouver area with a proven track record in the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, residential, educational, government, and recreational building projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically proficient, and experienced in leading multi-disciplinary project teams in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.


RequirementsKey Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical projects, from design coordination and procurement through construction, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Oversee mechanical scopes including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and controls systems.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, general contractors, and internal teams to ensure project alignment with budgets, schedules, and specifications.
  • Review engineering drawings and specifications, identify discrepancies, and propose cost-effective solutions.
  • Manage subcontractors and trades, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance on-site.
  • Lead procurement of mechanical equipment and materials in collaboration with purchasing and engineering.
  • Provide technical guidance and resolve construction-related issues in real-time.
  • Track project progress and financial performance using project management software and reporting tools.
  • Attend project meetings and prepare progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • P.Eng or C.E.T Preferred
  • PMP considered an asset
  • Minimum 5+ years of project management experience in mechanical contracting or consulting.
  • Strong understanding of local mechanical codes (e.g., BCBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.).
  • Experience delivering projects in multiple sectors including commercial, institutional, residential, and public infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical and architectural drawings.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, or Revit experience or other construction management platforms is an asset.
