This is a remote position.

We are looking for a Licensed Mortgage Broker's Assistant to help them with the “busy-ness of business”! If you are a “Type-A” personality who excels in the world of organizing, tracking and satisfying a large customer base, read on!


This role is all about managing the day to day activities for a busy mortgage broker and assisting in all activities of the engaging and approval process of clients. You will be assisting in the lending process (you must be licensed), communicating with clients, preparing mortgage documents, and ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks. This is a very busy operation, so being self-motivated and a top performer are a must.

Note: For the right candidate, there is possibility of hybrid or remote work.
Our client is a leading mortgage broker based here in Kamloops, but with business clients around the province. This busy operator has several mortgage brokers working with the company, and while they currently do a huge amount of business, they have their sights set on growing again in 2025. The owner operates at a high volume and fast pace, and needs an assistant who is not only able to keep up, but maybe run a little faster! This person would be essential in helping the business grow, has an eye on deadlines, and helps in the customer retention process through follow ups and communications.
As the next Licensed Mortgage Broker Assistant, you will have ‘key responsibilities' that will require you to call upon your extensive organization skills and meticulous eye for details to maintain a high-standard of accuracy and quality, while ensuring that all of the clients' needs are looked after.
The Role:
  • Located in Kamloops
  • Engage with clients to collect necessary financial information and application details.
  • Conduct and submit pre-approvals to lenders and ensure mortgage applications are complete and error-free.
  • Satisfy pre-approval and live deal conditions efficiently.
  • Coordinate with lenders, clients, underwriters, and partners to streamline the loan process.
  • Follow up with leads and applicants to maximize conversion opportunities.
  • Actively seek referrals from past clients to help reach our targets
  • Provide exceptional support, addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments on sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Fully engage in seminars, client appreciation events, and marketing activities.
  • Stay informed about best practices, lender and insurer policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Enhance skills and processes based on feedback and industry trends.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks as required.
Your Skills & Experience:
  • ***MUST HAVE*** 5 years of Mortgage Broker experience (as a broker or assistant)
  • ***MUST HAVE*** A track record of managing multiple workloads at the same time, while maintaining a high-degree of accuracy
  • The ability to work to be self-motivated, and collaborating with a team that strives for excellence
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in an environment with shifting priorities and conflicting deadlines.
  • Cognizant of the importance of confidentiality when dealing with clients' sensitive information
  • Continually looks for ways to improve their department and processes
  • Personable, and able to work with the public

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
