Position Status: Regular, Full-time (1.0 FTE)

EFW Radiology is currently seeking a Head MRI Technologist to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care!

The Role:

Head MRI Technologists are responsible for performing all magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures in an efficient and effective manner while providing exceptional patient care. Additionally, they are responsible for ensuring the department's operational needs are met, available resources are utilized and all regulations are strictly adhered to.

Reporting to: This position directly reports to the Nuclear Medicine, Bone Mineral Density, and MRI Supervisor.

Role Overview:

• Review daily appointments: Ensure accuracy and organize the schedule.
• Greet patients warmly: Provide excellent service during interactions.
• Lead and guide fellow MRI Technologists: Offer feedback, mentoring, and coaching.
• Perform MRI procedures: Follow established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Compile and verify patient histories, gather relevant information before procedures.
• Adhere to MRI Safety Policies and maintain safety standards consistently.
• Evaluate MR images and aid in diagnostic assessments.
• Communicate professionally with patients and educate them on requirements and potential side effects.
• Manage Quality Control and ensure high standards in imaging.
• Collaborate with Radiologists and Management regarding processes, protocol updates, and inspections.

You have the following:

• Completion of a recognized MRI technology program
• Current CAMRT/ACMDTT registration and Alberta license
• Minimum 3 years of full-time experience in a hospital or clinic setting
• Sound judgment and effective decision-making skills
• Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities
• Commitment to compassionate patient care
• Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of RIS software such as PACS and Netcare.
