Job Summary

Amorepacific Canada is seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to join our Supply Chain Management (SCM) team as a maternity leave replacement for 20 months. This role plays a critical part in day-to-day supply chain operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory control, SAP administration, and coordination with internal and external partners.

You will work closely with the marketing and sales teams on a weekly basis, and engage daily with SCM team members, carriers, retail stores, customers, and online platforms. This role is key in enhancing operational value and streamlining processes. This position will report to SCM Manager.

Principal Accountabilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage daily shipping, receiving, and internal logistics to ensure smooth operations
  • Oversee shipping activities for all order types, including basic shipments, marketing collateral, and special assembly projects
  • Ensure compliance with transportation and vendor regulations to avoid chargebacks
  • Coordinate transportation based on routing guidelines for optimized logistics
  • Assist with SAP master data management to ensure accurate product information
  • Generate return authorizations (RAs) and inspect returned goods to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Collaborate with suppliers and customers to drive process improvement and cost efficiencies
  • Implement billing procedures and analyze key performance indicators to produce operational reports
  • Monitor inventory to prevent overstocking or shortages and maintain optimal levels
  • Review and process EDI transactions in compliance with change control procedures
  • Work with vendors and third-party logistics providers to support integration (RFP, RFI, RFQ)

Key Experience and Skills

We are looking for a collaborative and proactive professional with the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree required; preferred fields include Supply Chain Management, Business, or Business Administration
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in a supply chain-related role
  • Strong understanding of logistics and operational interdependence
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to identify and manage operational risks
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Root cause analysis and process improvement mindset
  • Effective problem-solving and innovative thinking abilities
  • Self-starter with a passion for learning and growth
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
