  • Oversee and optimize post-collection logistics to ensure materials are moved and processed in alignment with program goals.
  • Monitor the chain of custody, enforce vendor standards, conduct audits, and ensure accurate data reporting.
  • Support the development of a commodity sales strategy that maximizes material value and prevents conflicts of interest.
  • Work closely with the Manager, Material Services to ensure timely, accurate inbound composition audits and supply chain reporting.
  • Lead post-collection performance reviews, focusing on continuous improvement and cost-effectiveness.
  • Guide contract negotiations with post-collection vendors and ensure terms are clearly defined and documented.
  • Oversee development and rollout of reporting tools, performance scorecards, and KPIs in collaboration with the Operations Support team.
  • Contribute to Recycle BC pilot projects and special initiatives requiring post-collection services.
  • Benchmark against industry best practices and innovations in recycling and material recovery.
  • Collaborate on budget planning, cost studies, and waste composition analyses.
  • Represent Recycle BC in external working groups and stakeholder meetings.

Internal Collaboration

  • Align closely with Directors of Operations and the VP Operations on commercial agreements and reporting frameworks.
  • Collaborate with finance, analytics, and business intelligence teams for budget planning and performance tracking.
  • Coordinate with SK Recycles and national programs to share insights and identify synergies.

External Relationships

  • Build relationships with local governments, First Nations, service providers, and industry associations.
  • Work with EPR programs, auditors, and external consultants to align on compliance, performance, and reporting standards.

Leadership & Oversight

  • Supervise a team of direct and indirect reports, overseeing recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Manage third-party vendors and ensure contract compliance.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance against post-collection budget targets.
