About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Analyst to play a pivotal role in supporting our client's Business Support Systems (BSS) transformation, while also maintaining and enhancing their legacy IBM iSeries (AS/400) applications using RPG. This role is a key part of succession planning as current senior analysts approach retirement.
You will be expected to hit the ground running—managing the transition from legacy systems to modern cloud-based solutions while ensuring business continuity and engaging closely with a collaborative, high-performing internal IT team.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance legacy systems built on IBM AS/400 (iSeries) with RPG programming.
Support the transformation of Business Support Systems (BSS) including future integration with modern platforms (billing, workflow, revenue management).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
Act as a technical subject matter expert across both legacy and evolving systems.
Participate in solution architecture, system administration, and database management.
Support and mentor other team members as part of long-term succession planning.
Ensure seamless knowledge transfer.
Contribute to automation and modernization initiatives while managing day-to-day system needs.
Looking for:
Proven experience with RPG programming (RPG IV, Free Format RPG, etc.) on IBM iSeries / AS400.
Strong blend of technical and analytical capabilities, with a progressive career path (e.g., programmer → system admin).
Background in solution architecture, database management, and full-stack development is preferred.
Exposure to BSS/OSS environments, especially in telecommunications, is a strong asset.
Able to work independently, handle multiple responsibilities, and navigate complex legacy systems with minimal supervision.
Willingness to travel quarterly to Regina for in-person collaboration (expenses covered).
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative, community-focused team environment.
