The Electrical Engineering Design Manager will be responsible for establishing and leading the

electrical engineering design department within the firm. This role requires an individual who is

not only capable of managing a team but also actively involved in hands-on design work. A

primary focus will be on acquiring new clients, building lasting relationships, and ensuring the

successful delivery of electrical designs across various sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the design of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, emergency systems, and sustainable energy solutions.
• Oversee and execute hands-on design work for complex electrical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
• Manage the technical delivery of electrical designs from concept through to completion, ensuring quality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Alberta is required.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in the US is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering design, with at least 5 years
• in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven ability to acquire new clients and secure contracts.
• Extensive experience in hands-on electrical design, not just in a managerial capacity.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software commonly used in the
• industry.
• In-depth knowledge of local building codes, industry standards, and regulatory
• requirements in Calgary and Alberta.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
