Position Summary
The selected candidate will play a strategic role by supporting their client's key functions. They will act as a key partner to business teams, providing data, budgets, and analyses needed to support informed decision-making.
Your Mission
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead annual budgets, long-term plans, and rolling forecasts
- Develop financial models for scenario planning and business analysis
- Provide performance analyses and strategic recommendations
- Prepare executive reports with key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Support business units in their strategic and operational decision-making
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of analysts with clear objectives
- Ensure the quality of deliverables and promote continuous improvement
- Plan resource allocation and conduct performance evaluations
Partnership & Continuous Improvement
- Advise functional leaders in their financial decision-making
- Optimize forecasting, planning, and reporting processes
- Promote the adoption of automated tools and solutions to improve efficiency
Profile Sought
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (CPA designation is an asset)
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a similar role
- Team management experience is an asset
- Strong skills in financial modeling and analysis
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data for non-financial stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strategic mindset, strong attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Willingness to travel to Montreal on a quarterly basis, depending on business needs
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (strong asset), SAP S/4HANA, BW, Tableau, Power BI (asset), and Microsoft 365, with advanced Excel proficiency
- French is considered an asset, as the successful candidate will be working with several French-speaking colleagues.
