Timber-Tech is looking for skilled Labourers to join their team in Lethbridge. This is a full-time position, typically hours of work are 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday. The starting wage ranges from $18.00 to $22.00 depending on experience levels. A full benefits package is available following a successful probation period. The Labourers perform one or more repetitive jobs on the assembly and pressing line to produce trusses.
REPORTS TO: Lead Hand
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in Quality Control and Health & Safety Program.
- Work safely and keep the work area clean.
- Report any unsafe or hazardous condition or situation.
- Build trusses that meet the expected quality.
- Follow the company Health and Safety and Quality policies, processes, procedures and instructions.
- Interpret shop drawings for overall truss dimensions as well as joint & plate placement.
- Participate in setting or jigging trusses.
- Move material to assembly-production area.
- Insert and clamp chords and webs to tables.
- Assure that all joints are tight.
- Position and secure the proper connector plates on the top and bottom of all joints as shown on the shop drawing.
- Assure the connector plates (top & bottom) are of the size and type as specified and that each plate is positioned as specified on the shop drawing.
- Participate in the operation of the press when pressing connector plates.
- Participate in removing the truss from the jig and transferring it to the exit conveyor.
- Participate in marking each truss as per the shop drawings.
- Participate in scheduled area inspections using inspection checklist forms.
- Other duties as assigned.
