UX Researcher
Location: Hybrid, 3 days/week onsite, downtown Toronto
Duration: 1 year contract, approx 37 hrs/week
Rate: $45-60/hr (Depending on experience)
Position Overview
Our financial client is looking for a talented UX Researcher to join their team The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on design research and will play a pivotal role in shaping user-centered designs that enhance user experience and meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct usability testing to gather user feedback and insights.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative research to inform design decisions.
- Develop prototypes and wireframes that effectively communicate design concepts.
- Analyze data to identify user behavior patterns and preferences.
- Conduct interviews with users to understand their needs and pain points.
- Apply human-centered design principles to create intuitive and engaging experiences.
- Design and administer surveys to gather user feedback and insights.
- Create journey maps to visualize user experiences and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment with business goals.
- Leverage design thinking methodologies to solve complex design challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field.
- 7+ years experience as a UX Researcher
- Financial experience is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in usability testing and design research.
- Strong skills in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Proficiency in prototyping and wireframing tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
- Experience in data analysis and interpretation.
- Excellent interviewing skills to gather user insights.
- Familiarity with human-centered design practices and principles.
- Ability to design effective surveys and analyze results.
- Experience in journey mapping and interaction design.
- Strong understanding of design thinking methodologies and persona development.
