Job Description

Hays has partnered with an established firm with offices in Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver who are looking for a Studio Lead to join and lead their Calgary studio. This award-winning firm are pioneers in the field of sustainability and the power of collaborative design. The firm is made up of architects, designers and engineers with a common mind set focused towards green, resilient & creative spaces. Known for their diverse range of projects, with a strong focus on education, community and first nations work across Canada. *this is a FT in office role, flexible hours

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading and managing the Calgary studio, providing mentorship and direction for the local team.
  • Fostering a collaborative and creative studio culture, encouraging professional growth and development.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Attracting new clients and projects by engaging in marketing and business development activities.
  • Overseeing project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation, working with clients, stakeholders and the internal team to deliver impactful projects.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10+ years experience as a Registered Architect with AAA or similar.
  • Bachelors or Master's in architecture from an accredited college or university.
  • Previous experience working on various project types including post-secondary, recreational, community & first nations.
  • Experience in sustainable design/ LEED AP & working with first nations communities is a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development and marketing, and strategic planning experience.

The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package $130,000 - $150,000 (depending on experience) + bonus, extended benefits & health spending, 4 weeks' vacation and continuing education allowance.
