PowerBI Developer - intermediate level

Location: Toronto / hybrid (1-3 days per week onsite)

Duration: 3mo +

Start: beginning of June 2025

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in BI/reporting, with at least 3 years in Power BI development.
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL
• Experience with data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and ETL processes.
• Strong understanding of business analysis and data visualization principles.

Good to have:

Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure Synapse, Data Lake, Data Factory).

Familiarity with tools like Power Apps or Power Automate (Power Platform)

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Power BI or Azure certifications

Responsibilities

• Dashboard & Report Development (Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations)
• Data Modeling & Transformation (reate and optimize complex data models using Power BI Desktop and DAX; Perform data transformations using Power Query [M language])
• Data Integration & Management (Connect Power BI to various data sources (SQL Server, Azure, Excel, SharePoint, etc.; Manage data refresh schedules, gateways, and dataflows Manage data refresh schedules, gateways, and dataflows)
• Working closely with business stakeholders
