Role: Server Infrastructure Specialist (AD and MS Exchange)
Duration: Perm FT
Location: GTA hybrid work model (Richmond Hill and Downtown - must be able to work in both locations; occasional WFH based on project/structure. Location is subject to change at manager's discretion and policy updates)
Work hours: standard 8am-4pm
Interview Process:
- Round 1: Technical test assessing server-side knowledge and tools.
- Round 2: In-person interview, likely in Richmond Hill, to assess cultural fit and technical proficiency
***Important note: candidates must be willing to go through a deep-dive security check, similar to security clearance (you need to have verifiable employment history for the last 5 years, CAN citizenship or PR, and clear criminal record) and pass a tech written test (on-site).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with a focus on server-side issues & security site management
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server (80-90%) and Linux server management (10-20%).
- Proficiency with Active Directory (AD) and Infrastructure management.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and Exchange administration.
- Familiarity with SaaS and PaaS solutions, especially M365.
- Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) tools, especially Tivoli Identity Manager. SailPoint knowledge is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams.
- L3 level engineering experience or equivalent experience at an intermediate-to-senior level.
Preferred Skills:
- SailPoint knowledge (will be used in the near future).
- Experience with Cloud-based M365 tools.
- Familiarity with the AIM identity management system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Server Management: Manage, configure, and maintain Windows-based servers (80-90%) and Linux servers (10-20%) with an emphasis on system stability and performance.
- Active Directory (AD): Manage AD environments, ensuring smooth operations of user authentication, identity access management, and approval workflows.
- PowerShell/Exchange Administration: Perform routine server and system tasks using PowerShell scripting. Administer and troubleshoot Exchange environments.
- Identity & Access Management (IAM): Oversee identity access, approval processes, and security site management. SailPoint and Tivoli Identity Manager experience are preferred, with familiarity in AIM considered a plus.
- Infrastructure Management: Ensure optimal performance and security of the infrastructure, focusing on server-side operations.
- Security Site Administration: Basic security knowledge to maintain and secure infrastructure.
- SaaS/PaaS Management: Work with various SaaS and PaaS solutions, ensuring integration and support for cloud-based services (including M365).
- Collaborative Environment: Adapt to the unique demands and culture within the Police environment.
- L3 Support: Provide Level 3 support for server-related issues and escalated technical challenges.
