Profile: Our client is a growing manufacturing company specializing in material handling equipment such as mini-cranes, compact bulldozers, lifts, and other lifting solutions designed for various industrial sectors.

As the company continues to grow, we are looking to fill sales positions with individuals who enjoy taking on challenges and are eager to fully invest themselves in a stimulating, forward-looking venture.

Territory: International

Workplace: Home Office (occasional presence at head office)

Products/Services: Material handling equipment

Salary: Base $100,000-$125,000

Commissions/Bonus: $50,000

Car allowance: Any expense related to business travel will be reimbursed.

Expense's reimbursement: All expenses reimbursed

Functions:

  • Actively prospect new potential partners to expand our international distribution network.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with manufacturing agents, resellers, and various business partners.
  • Prospect, target, solicit, and schedule visits with new clients.
  • Promote and present material handling equipment to clients.
  • Close sales and ensure after-sales service.
  • Become familiar with the product range and target markets.
  • Contribute to cost-benefit analyses for existing and potential clients.
  • Achieve established sales targets.
  • Train existing and potential clients on equipment usage.
  • Promote products at trade shows

Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 90% vs 10%

Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%

Languages: Excellent written and spoken English, French is an asset

Education: College or university education an asset

Training: Full training provided at head office

Overnight Travel: 25%–40% travel with overnight stays. (approximately 1 week per month)

Years of experience: Between 5–10 years of experience in international sales

Other requirements: Experience selling material handling is an asset

Transferable contacts: Contacts within the material handling equipment industry internationally are a major asset.

  • Transferable Knowledge: Experience and knowledge in setting up distributors are a major asset.
