KGS Group is seeking a Director - Information Technology to provide company-wide technology support across multiple organizations, overseeing the management of IT departments and development teams to drive efficient and effective technology operations.

The Role

The Director – Information Technology leads KGS Group's technology strategy, overseeing IT infrastructure, user support, custom integration and development, data management, AI initiatives and cybersecurity. You will ensure our IT systems, security framework and digital initiatives align with business objectives, enhance efficiency and safeguard critical data. This role requires a strategic leader with expertise in IT management, cybersecurity, digital transformation, emerging technologies and people management.

The successful candidate will be adept at aligning diverse stakeholder interests to build collaborative teams that deliver flexible and adaptable systems.

Position Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering with a specialization in information technology, cybersecurity or a related field; a master's degree is an asset
  • At least 10 years of experience in IT leadership, cybersecurity and digital transformation within an engineering, consulting or technical industry
  • Proven track record in technology management for enterprise and business systems, and network security
  • Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks, risk management and compliance standards
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic technology initiatives to support business growth and efficiency
  • Experience managing budgets and implementing enterprise-wide solutions
  • Strong knowledge of SaaS, hardware environment integration, data analytics and emerging technologies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong initiative and ability to make informed decisions and recommendations
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with a proven track record of leading and motivating IT and security teams
  • Ability to mentor and provide guidance and feedback to team members at various levels

Responsibilities Include:

Technology Strategy & Innovation

  • Develop and implement a technology strategy that aligns with business goals and the strategic plan
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, collaboration and innovation
  • Assess and integrate new and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the engineering industry
  • Lead the implementation of new technologies and systems across the organization
  • Lead the exploration and integration of AI technologies to improve business processes, enhance decision-making and drive operational efficiency

IT Infrastructure & Operations

  • Oversee the management and optimization of enterprise IT infrastructure, systems, networks and cloud solutions
  • Support development and enforcement of IT governance, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices

Cybersecurity and Risk Management

  • Oversee the development and implementation of a cybersecurity strategy
  • Work to protect company data, intellectual property and IT systems from cyber threats and vulnerabilities
  • Ensure compliance with security regulations and implement risk management frameworks

IT Leadership

  • Manage and mentor the employees within the IT departments, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability
  • Ensure IT staff are trained in cybersecurity, system administration and emerging technologies
  • Lead vendor selection and IT procurement to optimize technology investments

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

  • Participate in updates and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and risk
  • Ensure implementation of robust data backup, recovery and protection strategies
  • Ensure regular security audits, penetration testing and incident response planning are completed

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with executive leadership to align IT strategy with overall business objectives
  • Partner with corporate services and engineering teams to improve technology integration
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in an accessible manner
